Where do I find product-related FAQs?

You can find product-related FAQs on the individual product pages. These include information about cleaning, expansion gaps, underfloor heating, acclimatizing and installation FAQs.

What is wastage?

Wastage refers to the amount of floor that will end up not being used during an installation. This is generally unavoidable due to the way the planks will need to be cut, however, the amount of wastage can vary depending on the plank design, laying style and room shape. 10% is a good amount to start with, but herringbone and chevron floors may require more – always consult with your installer before purchasing.

How do I clean and maintain my Woodpecker floor?

This depends on if you have an oiled finish or a urethane finish floor. If you have an oiled finish (including hardwax oiled) then simply use our specifically formulated cleaning liquid for oiled floors. If your floor has a urethane finish (including our Stratex range) then we have a cleaning liquid for lacquered floors. Alternatively, you can use a well-wrung mop (with water only) if you need to give your floor a quick clean.

These can all be found on the specific product page, simply scroll down to the product description section and you will find the installation instructions there. Alternatively, you can find them on our installation instruction page.

How do I register my warranty?

Visit our register warranty page to register your warranty, you should receive an email confirmation shortly after. Please let us know if you don’t receive this.

Do you have a showroom?

Yes – we do! You can find it at our head office in Seattle (Washington) but don’t worry if that’s too far away, we have partners around the US. If you can’t find one near you, we will send you bigger samples.

How do I contact support?

You can contact our friendly support team but either calling our head office (206 929 5929), sending us a contact form or by emailing us directly at sales@woodpeckerflooring.com. We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible, however, it can take slightly longer during peak season, over weekends and/or public holidays.
