If you are concerned about noise pollution, install an Acoustamat slatted underlay in conjunction with WP50 Sausages to form a liquid batten system. The perforations are ideal for applying the adhesive and once installed it provides a reliable acoustic barrier. It's also great for uneven subfloors.
